April 2008-  ILLUSION MAGAZINE:  I was deeply honored that the wonderful girls at Illusion Magazine decided to do an article on me.  It is a fantastic magazine for makeup artists, and they really wrote an incredibly flattering article.

I am truly grateful!

November 2008-  I am extremely happy to say that these past few months have been extremely busy (hence no updates until now).

We have just updated the Courses and Training page, offering a course in Silicone Gel Filled Appliances.  We will travel nationally and internationally to teach this course. Call to discuss details!

We just finished an amazing “Heaven/Hell” themed event for N.A.C.E. (National Association of Catering Executives ) where we transformed 50+ chef’s, servers, and performers into demons and angels. We also had two sushi models in the “Lust” themed room for guests to eat sushi off of.  It was truly an unforgettable experience.  Special thanks to Metropolis Productions and Hello Florida, and all of the amazing staff at the J.W. Marriott Grande Lakes (and thanks for the amazing food :)

We are also contracted for Sea World Orlando’s Polar Express event, where we are providing 10 hand tied lace beards, moustaches, eyebrows, and makeup for their Santa Clause characters.

We just wrapped Sea World’s Halloween Spooktacular where the crew of 8 makeup artists and 1 hairstylist were responsible for makeup and wigs for 54+ performers all within a two and a half hour time span...and I am so honored to have had such an amazing crew.  Thank you everyone for all of your fantastic artistry, hard work, and professionalism.

Here is a great shot of the crew on our last day, Halloween day (as you can see, three of the guys channeled Sigfreid, Roy, and their Tiger.... we do have a great time! The only person not in this shot is our awesome hairstylist Eve... she was sick that day :(  we missed you in it!)

Check out some of the makeups on our Beauty and Fantasy page.

I was also fortunate to work with Universal Studios this year to create their “Joker” type character for one of their Halloween shows.  I used Pros-Aide Tattoo Transfers to create the facial scarring each night.  It worked fantastically, even under extreme heat and humidity!

Here is a pic of the performer with a custom, one of a kind figure I made for him to commemorate the experience!

In October, we were hired to create a Robot bodypaint for a medical convention.  The day before the event, we created a quick latex headpiece with tubing, a lighted chest piece, and some quick robotic gloves to help push the look over the top.  We have been hired to do this event again in December.

Over the past few months, we also created a few new prosthetic pieces for Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  We were commissioned by Tom Blasco of TBFX for this project, as he runs all the makeup for this event (and does a fantastic job on this).  We collaborated with Tom to create headpieces for the “Aurra Sing” and “Shak Ti” characters

We also worked with Tom on a “Disney on Ice” show, assisting him in creating heads for the Lion King portion of the show, as well as paint work on the “Fairy” prosthetics for the “Fairies” portion of the show.

Metropolis Productions commissioned us to create a foam dolphin costume for a stilt walking character at Sea World Orlando.  We kept it extremely lightweight, as this would be worn by a female performer on high stilts, so safety was a big concern.

August 2008 - In mid August, we were hired by an extremely talented artist, Kelly Belmonte, to  assist her in Las Vegas for  Playboy’s Midsummer Nights party.  We had an amazing time.  We created six “Forest Creatures”, numerous body paintings, and a few beauty’s.  It was an extremely successful event!  Thanks Kelly... it was fantastic!

There is alot more in the works, so stay tuned, and check back often for updates!

July 2008 -  Welcome to the new website!  Feel free to look around.  Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions!

June 2008 - I just returned from Oslo, Norway where I taught a class in Silicone Gel Filled Appliances at the N.I.S.S school.  This was a week long, hands on course taking the student through theory and technical information, to casting and applying.  Each student had the chance to spend a day casting multiple appliances, and another day applying the pieces to each other.  It was a truly rewarding experience on all levels.  Below are some of the photos from the course!

I want to take a moment to thank Jim Udenberg, the head of the makeup department at N.I.S.S,  and his amazing staff for all of the support while I was in Oslo!  We had a GREAT time!

June 2009 - What an amazing first half of 2009!  We were unsure of what the year had in store for us, but definitely could not have expected how it has turned out.

In January, we had a successful trip to Los Angeles for a bit of work, and a few meetings with various clients and colleagues!  A few days after arriving back to Florida, we were off to New York for work and multiple meetings.  We also had various jobs throughout January in Orlando.

In the beginning of February, I was called to Georgia to work for Tony Gardner of Alterian Inc. on the upcoming dark comedy “Zombieland” starring Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin, and Jessie Eisenberg.  While I am not allowed to post pics yet, I can say that it was a truly amazing experience.  We were applying fantastic GFA appliances designed by Steve Prouty.  Our amazing makeup team consisted of: Steve Prouty, Jamie Kelman, Corey Castellano, Gabriel De Cunto, Lee Grimes, Toby Sells, Leigh Ann Yandle, Bill McCoy and Sean Kenny, our amazing lens tech.

After Zombieland, I was called back to Georgia to work for Rob Hall/Almost Human Effects to work on the remake of the George Romero classic “The Crazies”.   Thanks to the incredible crew of Rob Hall, Kenny Myers, Corey Castellano, Chris Gallaher, and Toby Sells and Sean Kenny..... truly another unforgettable experience!

For this one, we applied Silicone Appliances, as well as multiple pros-aide transfers..... the final results were fantastic.  Special thanks to Joe and Jen for doing one heck of a job maintaining the FX lab on set, and keeping us stocked with appliances every day!  Sorry... no pics on this either.

Once back in Orlando, we were busy with a variety of jobs... from convention work making up beautiful Geisha’s, to a 3 day job for Walmart doing makeup for comedian Dana Carvey.  I flew back to Georgia for a few more days on ”Zombieland” as well.

We had a huge Roman themed private party for Brown and Brown that we were hired for through Metropolis Productions complete with Caesar, tigers, Gladiators and Soldiers.

We were commissioned to create 6 character heads impaled on a stake representing BnB’s competitors. We decided to go with more of a caricature theme as opposed to going ultra realistic to keep them a bit more lighthearted. We also had an extremely fast turnaround for this project, but we got them done.  In addition, we made up 30 Roman soldiers (300 style), Gladiators and their lovely Roman Ladies.

We did a short film creating a “strangled” makeup for one of the characters, as well as the look for the “Dead Girl buried in the wall” ...  both makeups were done on the spot for the day of filming....

In April, we flew to Japan for meetings with clients. I was also fortunate enough to teach a class at Temptu’s Storefront in Tokyo.  It was an amazing class.  We covered everything from bald caps ( a challenge, as our model had extremely long hair), to small silicone appliances, to pros-aide transfers.  A special thank you to all of the professional artists who attended, Asano, the Temptu rep in Japan, and Temptu here in the states for setting this up!  Here are pics of a bald cap and silicone nose, as well as the class.

A special thanks to Steve Prouty for sending a few of the Zombieland silicone appliances for use in the class demos.

It was truly an amazing experience!

October 2009-

Well, it’s October, and Zombieland is officially out, and is a huge hit!  I am so thankful to have been a part such an amazing crew on such a great film!

And now that it’s out, I can officially post some pics of the some of the makeups.

They were all encapsulated silicone pieces designed by Alterian Inc and Steve Prouty.

We were also recently hired by Stander... a German beverage company to body paint at the Playboy Mansion.  They wanted to keep the design clean and simple, so I gave the model very golden skin that was being “unzipped” to reveal their logo.

Special thanks to TEMPTU for providing all of the makeup!!!

In June and July, I was second on an upcoming film “Letters to God” under department head Lee Grimes.

Aside from handling straight makeup on some of the actors, I was also responsible for creating all of the encapsulated silicone surgical scars to be applied by Lee on the 10 year old main character.

A pic of our awesome department... Lee, Jane, Deb, and myself

At the moment, we are handling all of the makeup and hair responsibilities for Sea World Orlando’s Halloween Spooktacular for the 3rd year in a row.  Special thanks to my amazing crew!!!

We are also working on a few exciting upcoming projects........ so
